45 minute medical pedicure

At the clinic I offer my patients a 45 minute medical pedicure which includes a thorough assessment of your feet, identification of any underlying medical conditions, along with a range of treatments to address all aspects of your foot health, including hard and dry skin, corns, callus, fungal foot or nail infection ,and discuss any other relevant foot issues.

Common treatments covered under the medical pedicure treatment include removal of hard skin (callus) and corns with scalpel and hand filing techniques, mechanical reduction of thick nails, identification and removal of all potential nail spikes that may present a problem to soft issue, cleaning of the nail beds and removal of callused or fungal debris, fungal skin treatments and diagnosis of any underlying issues. All the instruments used will be sterilised for your safety and to avoid the risk of cross-infection between patients. The medical pedicure will finish with exfoliation, creaming and a gentle foot rub. A medical pedicure leaves your feet looking clean and fresh! Calluses are an area of defuse build up of layers of thickened hard and compressed skin. They develop, like Corns, as a response to pressure or friction in order to protect the soft skin underneath from breaking down. They can become very painful if untreated. Removing these requires paring with a scalpel and the use of special callus softeners.
